Ladakh Review

An Annual Journal of Ladakhi Culture, History, and Himalayan Studies

About Ladakh Review

Ladakh Review is an annual scholarly journal edited by Nawang Tsering Shakspo, dedicated to the systematic study and documentation of Ladakh’s cultural, linguistic, historical, and spiritual traditions. Since its inception in 2015, the journal has served as a vital intellectual forum for scholars, monks, writers, cultural practitioners, and researchers working on Ladakh and the wider Himalayan region.
The journal seeks to balance academic rigour with cultural sensitivity, offering space for archival research, ethnographic studies, literary analysis, and reflective essays rooted in lived experience.
Each volume addresses a distinct thematic focus while collectively forming a continuous record of Ladakh’s evolving cultural landscape.
